Will TCS deliver the shipment within transit time?
Transit times are based upon average number of working days taken from pickup to delivery and are dependent upon flight connections, pickup time and nature of shipment and forwarding area. (All transit time are Ex-Karachi/Lahore)
For example if a document is booked for USA and the city is New York delivery is arranged within 4 working days, for secondary markets like Austin, Miami it takes 4-5 working days.
For non-document we must exclude the time which it consume in the clearance process that takes place at origin and also at destination.
TCS will make every reasonable effort to deliver the Shipment according to TCS regular delivery schedules, but its not guaranteed and not part of the contract.
Do international transit times always met?
There are many factors that affect international transit times, which are
Holidays
Every country celebrates different holidays. If your shipment arrives on a holiday, TCS will not be able to arrange deliveries until recipient's address is opened.
Weekends
Transit times are calculated in business days, so you will need to account for weekend days. Note that weekends may differ by country. For example, many Muslim countries are open for business on Saturdays and Sundays, but are closed on Fridays.
Does TCS International offer Holiday Service?
TCS do not offer holiday service internationally.
How does shipper know if his shipment is dutiable?
Each country establishes its own standards as to which goods are considered dutiable.
If the shipment is dutiable, how does that affect?
All shipments must go through a customs clearance procedure, which can affect the transit time.
Normally it takes 1 to 5 business days that are required to clear the consignment. Some items, particularly unusual or high value items, are detained by customs for a longer period of time.
Who pays duty on goods?
The recipient typically pays duty charges. However, shipper may also choose to pay them, which means he is requesting Delivery Duty Paid Service.
How we track a shipment through other purposes?
TCS delivers total service for complete customer satisfaction. From the moment we pick-up the shipment to the precise minute it is delivered we provide the customer complete details from pick-up to delivery.

In case the shipment is undelivered will TCS make another attempt?
Yes, the courier will automatically attempt delivery to the address the next business day before 5:00 PM. After two attempts, the package will be held at the local agent office until disposal arrangements are made
In case the shipment is pending and no new details is provided?
Incase of the pending shipment, shipper will have to send new details within 05 working days from the date informed, If not then shipper have to abandon the shipment, the same will be destroyed or disposed off. However shipper still remains liable for all additional costs. Duty and Taxes)
Incase shipper wants to return the shipment to origin?
Since internationally exceptions shipment is not returned free of cost and is disposed off at destination. Shipments (RTO) Return To Origin request will be notified in writing by the shipper. Incase of return or redirection duties and taxes billed at destination will be payable by the shipper along with RTO charges
Does TCS Provide delivery details for all shipments?
TCS provides delivery status for major destinations but for area which are on-forwarded though various means or delivered by third party delivery details will not be available
What is a third party delivery?
TCS/UPS agents operate DIRECT OR INDIRECT to more destinations in more countries than any other Express Carrier. However, there are some destinations where it is not operationally or commercially practical to offer a full service and these few destinations are generally on-forwarded by an alternative mode.
Thus shipment are on-forwarded to a preferred agent for delivery
What are the requirements of sending CDs Internationally?
The home made movies or other marriage ceremony movies or other occasional movies can be booked as parcel. The professional movies, or the CDs protected by copy right can not be booked. Profile on CDs can be booked internationally but if the profile has any company file then company authority letter is required. However, up to 5 CDs can be booked as parcel. The quantity can exceed for banks, companies, medical report, religious etc. but approval is required from international operations. CDs can not be booked as documents.
Can Photographs (Passport Size & Post Card Size), X-Rays, Transparencies, Original Driving License and NIC can be booked internationally?
Up to 70 Postcards size family photographs (without valuable album) can be booked as documents. Up to 10 X-Rays / Transparencies of normal size can be booked as documents; however quantity and size can be exceeded but prior approval of international operations is necessary. Original driving License and NIC can be booked as documents. Up to 100 passport size personal photographs can be booked as documents.
What is cut off time?
Major Hubs i.e. Karachi, Lahore and Sialkot cut off time is 10:00PM. As the international manifestation needs to perform before 11:30PM, rest of Pakistan cut off time will be as per normal network coverage.

What if shipment is being damage or lost?
We have to forward it to TCS CLAIM Department.
How long will we cater customer complain?
After delivery of shipment, within 14 days complain can be marked. 15th day complain cannot be entertained.
What product is dutiable?
As per country law all DOCUMENTS and PARCEL could be charged duty.
How much duty will be charged?
Custom duty is not pre informed/pre defined or mandatory.
What is VAT?
VAT (Value Added tax) is applied in United Kingdom.
Can shipper pay duty at origin?
Customer duty can also be paid at origin (Sometimes) through FREE DOMICILE, which will be greater than destination duty.

TERMINOLOGIES
Shipment
“Shipment” means all documents or parcels that travel under one waybill and may be carried by any means TCS chooses, including air, road or any other carrier
Airway Bill
A “waybill” includes any label produced by TCS system, air waybill, or consignment note incorporates the Terms and Conditions.
Liability
Every Shipment is transported on a limited liability basis as provided on the airway bill. (TCS liability is strictly limited to direct loss.
TCS maximum liability in the event of loss or damage to a shipment is US$100 or the value on the airway bill whichever is lesser
Claims
All claims for international shipments must be submitted in writing to TCS within thirty (30) days from the date that TCS accepted the Shipment, failing which TCS shall have no liability whatsoever.
Circumstances beyond TCS Control
TCS is not liable for any loss or damage arising out of circumstances beyond TCS control.
These include but are not limited to: “Act of God” - e.g. earthquake, cyclone, storm, flood, fog, war, plane crash or embargo.
Any defect or characteristic related to the nature of the Shipment, even if known to TCS, riot or civil disorder; any act or omission by a person not employed or contracted by TCS, e.g. Shipper, Receiver, third party, Customs or other government official; labor strike, electrical or magnetic damage to, or erasure of, electronic or photographic images, data or recordings.
